The pines are murmuring above the grave

(After the excavations at Kurapaty)

This year (1988), from July 6 through 15, the investigative agencies of the Procurator’s Office of the BSSR carried out a selective exhumation of the graves at Kurapaty. The criminological investigation enquiry headed by Counsellor of Justice J.J.Broliss, a special investigator. A number of specialists (criminologists, medical experts, archaeologists, etc.) were officially invited to participate in the investigation. The archaeological excavations and the examination of the buried remains were carried out by a group of archaeologists from the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR (Z.S.Pazniak, M.M.Kryvalcevic, A.V.Iou). The scientific report on the archaeological investigations was reviewed, analysed, and approved by the Department of Archaeology (of that Institute) and submitted to the Procurator.

Kurapaty - the road of death

The information which we want to give our readers will be familiar to many of them. But it seems that, like us, those who knew all about it were victims of circumstance, and therefore have suffered. For us this suffering has been unbearable. Unbearable on account of the awareness that life slips quickly away, that people die, and that the memory of the terrible crimes committed during the 1930s against our nation is vanishing. Unbearable on account of the awareness that, if this memory is lost and perishes, it will all be repeated again from the beginning.

Holy place Kurapaty

Kurapaty is a holy place of Belarusan people, where the Russian communust occupants have killed more than 250.000 of martyrs. The forest Kurapaty near Minsk is one of the many places on the territory of Belarus, where victims of the Russian terror against our people have been killed and buried in 1917-41. It is possible to compare Kurapaty with Auschwitz and Buchenwald according to the big number of victims and of the large scale of the crime.

Who is responsible for the victory of the dictatorship in Belarus?

(Appeal to the leadership of the European Union and the OSCE)

During 2004 the anti-popular and illegitimate Lukashenka regime prepared its illegitimate «referendum» and «electoral campaign». At the same time the Conservative Christian Party - BPF appealed several times the Belarusan society and the political parties of Belarus notifying in advance the plans of the pro-Moscow dictatorship. Long before the start of the electoral campaign we have seen the danger of these plans: the regime would combine the referendum on the anti-constitutional questions and the elections to the «chamber of representatives» of the Lukashenka pseudo-parliament. We explained that the regime has the unique object - to preserve the power of Lukashenka. In order to do it the regime has decided to attract and to force the electors to the polling rooms using all the methods. Because of that the authorities have combined the elections and the illegitimate referendum. Already then we have declared that the society has the necessary method of the resistance against the dictatorship in this situation - i.e. the national boycott of the electoral farce and the illegitimate referendum.
