January 22 the members of the initiative group of Zianon Pazniak collected the signatures of the citizens in several places of Minsk. They distributed as well the information on the People’s Poll. The police tried several times to drive away the members of the initiative group but they continued to collect the signatures. The police colonel Tsedryk has ordered to arrest several members of the initiative group which acted near the railway station: Mrs. Tatsiana Tsiatsiorkina, Mrs. Angelina Masiuta, Mr. Valery Zabrodzin, Mr. Uladzimier Talkachou and the head of the initiative group Mr. Siarhey Papkou. They have been transported to the police station. The police told them that they are violating the electoral Law distributing “the unregistered leaflets”. The police officers have made the minutes against Mrs. Angelina Masiuta. But the members protested against the repressions claming that they are informing the people on the People’s Poll and not violating the Law. After two hours the police has released all the members of the group. The regime is afraid of the People’s Poll. This is the unique form of the legal resistance against the electoral frauds prepared by the regime. The initiative group of Zianon Pazniak is continuing the action in spite of the provocations and repressions of the regime.
